Don’t get me started.
I’m absolutely not a fan of Twitter, Linkedin or Facebook, but you have to acknowledge their influence in today’s society.
Some time ago, I deactivated all of my social networking accounts for a number of reasons.
However, were I to have staff, large numbers, as in more than 1 other than me, this IS an area I may consider to expand in, however, no one I know with any stake in the game has been pleased nor can they show an ROI of any kind from using social media.
Social Media is an investment not necessarily in dollars, but in time. Staff time. Your time. Someone’s time. If you’re OK with investing time, it may be successful for you. Then again, it may not. I’ve posted several articles on this at my blog. Search ‘Social Media.’
You can’t follow me on Twitter. And, you can’t find out from Facebook the last time my kid did something cool (Besides, I’d be posting all the time. My kids are doing cool stuff non-stop.)
